Arete Award

Arete (ah-rey-TAY) is the Greek word for goodness, excellence and character of virtue. The Arete Award, sponsored by the Marymount Institute, honors graduating senior students who have demonstrated their commitment to service and justice through off-campus volunteer service, especially with the poor and marginalized. 

Requirements:

- Seniors only

- 300+ service hours*

*For De Colores, Ignacio Companions, Alternative Break trips and other immersion weekends or weeks, you can count 8 hours of service per non-travel days.

The 2017 application is now closed.

Award recipients will be notified by Monday, March 20th. Recipients will be recognized at the LMU EXP Award Ceremony on April 18th at 4pm.
