The Service Organization Program is a student-run volunteer service program which fosters community and spirituality among its members. The Program involves nine independent service organizations:
Each Service Organization has its own unique mission, history, charisma and organizational structure. The members of these organizations make themselves available for on-campus service as well as on-going commitments to serve at specific non-profit agencies in Southern California. Each organization has a moderator and a chaplain.
The Center for Service and Action works with the service organizations in fostering on-campus service and community service as well as reflecting upon their experience of service. CSA coordinates communication between the leadership of these organizations, the Service Organization Council. CSA also coordinates the distribution of the On-Campus Service Requests.

Service Organization Community Mission Statement
We the Service Org Community recognize our unique position in both the LMU and Los Angeles communities in having a common purpose of promoting both service and social justice. Through our individual communities we strive to create meaningful relationships at our various service placements. We also strive to create a sense of empowerment both with our general members and with those we serve. Furthermore, we endeavor to aid in the growth and education of our members so that they may develop their passions and go forth into the world and create a world of difference.
