I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Jeanne Ortiz, and I am your new Dean of Students. As your dean, I am available to students who have concerns or questions and may not know where to go to facilitate an answer. Additionally, the Dean of Students Office communicates annually with students regarding important policies that each student should know. These policies are contained in the our Community Standards booklet. The policies are designed to support a living and learning environment at the university based on respect for and consideration of every member of the community. The outcome is a community that shows genuine concern for one another and an educational environment firmly grounded in academic and personal excellence and social justice. As our Lion’s Code declares, each student is expected to own the best of our community.
