Into the Streets 2014

Into the Streets 2014

On May 23, the Division of Student Affairs staff visited St. Bernard High School and Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnet High School, two members of the Loyola Marymount University Family of Schools, for the annual Into the Streets service program.

Into the Streets is a long-standing tradition with the Division of Student Affairs that allows its members to tap into the Jesuit and Marymount traditions of service and solidarity with the community by immersing themselves in a day of work.

As part of this year's Into the Streets, LMU's Career Development Services worked with Westchester students in college- and career-readiness workshops. LMU staff members teamed up with the high school students to create an aspirational resume to help guide and ground students’ college and career roadmap. Other Into the Streets participants helped clean up the campus grounds at Westchester and St. Bernard by gardnening and picking up litter.

Thank you to all those who participated in another successful year of Into the Streets.
