Happy Lunar New Year!
Asian Pacific Student Services and the Office for International Students & Scholars celebrates Lunar New Year in style.
Lunar New Year, also known as LNY, Chinese New Year or Spring Festival, is a traditional 15 day festival to celebrate the beginning of the year in the lunar calendar. It is considered one of the most important holidays for some Asian countries around the world. This year, 2013, is the Year of the Snake. If you were born in the years 1953, 1965, 1977, or 1989 this is your year! The Year of the Snake is a year for forward movement, refreshed understanding, and growth for everyone.
Asian Pacific Student Services and the Office for International Students & Scholars will welcome the Lunar New Year with a multi-cultural event that will feature live entertainment, great food, and a variety of activities. The Loyola Marymount University community is invited to join the celebration at the International House (8000 Loyola Blvd) on Thursday, February 7, 2013 @ 3:30 pm.
