Summer in Action Grant

lmu students with children from De Colores organization

The Summer in Action Grant is awarded to a current undergraduate or graduate student who demonstrates a strong commitment to social justice and engagement in advocacy. This is accomplished by participating in an internship or training with a domestic non-profit organization during the summer, in order to further develop the skills and knowledge on a particular social justice issue(s.)

Each grant recipient is eligible for up to $2,000 (payable in three disbursements.) During the academic year, grant recipients must organize an event, project, or campaign to implement what they have learned during their placement and spread awareness about the particular social justice issue(s.)
