Angela Garland, Psy.D.

Clinical Interests & Specialties areas: 

Dr. Garland (Dr. G or G) is a mixed race (Korean/African American) Military dependent (ARMY BRAT) who delivers Humanistic/Existential therapy through an integrative/multicultural lens. Dr. G has expertise in forensically focused community mental health, locked facilities (DSH), intensive rehabilitation residential/outpatient treatment programs, neuropsychological testing in a hospital setting, and university counseling centers.  

About the Staff Member: 

Dr. G received her master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Her professional interests and strengths include working with historically marginalized populations, historical/current racial trauma, severe mental illness, general trauma, anxiety, depression, multicultural therapy, mindfulness-based practices and creating an environment where clients can discover, define, and authentically be empowered by their intersectionalities. In her spare time she enjoys crafting, reading, and spending quality time with her son.
