Quintin (Quinn) Yates '25(he/him) is a physics major wrapping up his time here at LMU. From the very first weeks of his college experience, he has been a part of the LMU Society of Physics Students. This has been an amazing opportunity for him to connect with other physics majors and grow his leadership skills. In his sophomore year he was elected vice-president before growing into the co-president for his junior and senior years. In his second semester at LMU, Yates joined the Crimson Circle Service Organization. This has been his most significant extracurricular activity at LMU. After a year serving as the vice-president of service, he was elected president. Between the two years, Yates has led the organization back from the pandemic, culminating with the organization completing over 1800 hours of service last semester. Crimson also continued to sponsor the UCLA Blood Drive and set a post-COVID record in February. Starting his sophomore year, Yates was hired as a resident advisor. He has supporting both first-year and upper division students in STEM and Honors LLCs. Through this and all of his other experiences with Student Affairs, Yates has gotten intimately familiar with a number of sides of the student experience. He is thrilled at the opportunity to share his perspective and contribute to shaping the division in the 2024-25 calendar year.
