10.2.26 Fallapalooza
October 2, 2026
Dear LMU Students,
I’m reaching out to share important information about this weekend, including Fallapalooza, taking place Sunday, Oct. 4, from 4-7 p.m. on Alumni Mall.
As we look ahead to the weekend, we are expecting higher-than-normal temperatures, with an extreme heat watch in effect for Los Angeles County. If you are spending time outdoors or elsewhere, I strongly encourage you to take precautions to stay safe and healthy:
- Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you do not feel thirsty.
- Take frequent breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas.
- Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing.
- Know the signs of heat-related illness, including headaches, dizziness, muscle cramps, and nausea.
- Never leave anyone, including pets, in a parked vehicle.
To help everyone have a safe and enjoyable Fallapalooza, please keep these important event details in mind:
- LMU students only: Fallapalooza is an LMU student event, and guests are not permitted.
- LEO Event Check-In Pass: Have your LEO Event Check-In Pass ready for entry.
- Bags: Only small bags will be permitted, and all bags are subject to search before entry.
- Water: No water bottles can be brought in. Free water will be provided.
- Food: Outside food is not permitted, but food trucks will be available inside the event. Check ASLMU’s social media channels for food truck and menu information.
- Re-entry: Once you leave Fallapalooza, you will not be able to re-enter, so please plan accordingly.
- Event pre-check: Be sure to pick up your Fallapalooza wristband in advance at one of the ASLMU wristband pickup locations. Wristbands will not be available at the event entrance.
- Lost and found: Please bring any lost items you find to Campus Safety so we can help reunite them with their owners.
- Community Standards: As always, our LMU Community Standards apply throughout the event.
- Living by The Lion's Code: Let’s continue to treat one another with empathy and respect at Fallapalooza, across campus, and in how we communicate with and about one another, including online.
As we prepare to come together for one of LMU’s most anticipated traditions, I want to offer my sincere thanks to ASLMU and our Student Leadership and Development team for their dedication, creativity, and countless hours of work to make Fallapalooza a safe, memorable, and enjoyable experience for our students.
Let’s keep our community safe and enjoy this wonderful event together.
Sincerely,
Csilla Samay, Ed.D.
