Graduates at Kente Graduation

Kente Grad Ceremony is a rite of passage that commemorates the academic and personal achievements of our graduating students who wish to celebrate their achievements within the context of African and African American cultural traditions.

Cultural Grad Celebrations are voluntary, student-centered events that acknowledge shared experiences and traditions. All students are invited and welcome. There is no fee for attendance or participation.

We will proceed to the Mbongi Spot for pictures and a reception celebration after the grad ceremony.

This space is not covered; please be prepared for the weather. Kente will begin promptly at 2 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. to accommodate Commencement Mass, for which set up will begin on Drollinger Stage immediately following this event.
