LMU places great importance on the health and well-being of our students and campus community. With a wide range of on-campus services and programs available around the clock, the Division of Student Affairs aims to ensure that our students stay physically, emotionally and mentally healthy.

Campus Recreation and Student Facilities

Campus Recreation and the Burns Recreation Center support the Loyola Marymount University community in the areas of facilities, programs and services. The Burns Recreation Center features a fitness center, group fitness studios, multi-purpose courts, tennis courts and an Olympic-sized outdoor swimming pool.

Community of Care

Community of Care provides prevention, assessment and intervention for and with LMU students as they navigate the challenges that stand in their way of academic and personal success.

Lion Wellness

Lion Wellness provides a roundup of resources and services at LMU all to support students on their LMU journey.

LMU CARES

LMU CARES provides education to the campus community about resources, support and policies at the university regarding sexual and interpersonal misconduct and prevention.

Recovery at LMU

Students will be empowered to take individual responsibility for their own health and well-being while belonging to a community of support. Staff facilitate access to support groups and provide programming for students and their allies in recovery. Weekly meetings are held each semester.

Student Health Services

Student Health Services is a full-service, accredited medical office. The SHS health care team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, an x-ray technologist and trained support staff offering illness and injury treatment, women's health, dermatological care, allergy shots and more.

Student Psychological Services

Student Psychological Services provides confidential individual and group therapy, walk-in consultations, emergency psychological services and more to enhance students' lives and encourage personal growth. SPS also offers psychological consultation to students, faculty, staff or parents who are concerned about a student.
