Clinical Interests and Specialties areas:
Fred Labunikher is interested in providing integrative and holistic therapy through a psychodynamic and existential lens. He has particular interest in supporting students navigating life transitions, identity development, depression, and anxiety. He also draws on his background in teaching to foster growth, resilience, and self-expression. Labunikher is looking forward to connecting with LMU’s students and hopes to be a resource for students in need of support.
About the Staff Member:
Fred Labunikher earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at LMU in 2014 and is currently in the last year of his master's degree program in counseling at LMU. He is serving as an LPC Trainee at SPS, where he is gaining clinical experience working with college students in both individual and group settings. Before beginning his graduate training, Labunikher worked for over 16 years as a music and guitar teacher, which shaped his appreciation for creativity, learning, and personal growth.
