Clinical Interests and Specialty Areas

Stephanie Laurey, Psy.D. believes effective therapy begins with creating a space that feels warm, empathetic, and nonjudgemental. Her therapeutic style is attachment-focused and relational, blending psychodynamic work with practical interventions to help students feel deeply understood and make progress toward their goals. She welcomes students with a wide range of experiences, from those who are familiar with therapy to those who may feel understandably nervous about trying it for the first time. Her clinical interests include identity development, depression, trauma, eating and body image concerns, substance use, neurodiversity, and religion and spirituality. She is supervised by Ryan Crosthwaite, Psy.D. and Lydia Hansell, Psy.D.
