About the Staff Member:
Dr. Tejani brings nearly 15 years of clinical experience in outpatient and inpatient health care for young adults and children. She completed her B.A. at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also played club water polo and tutored students. She then taught for two years as a Teach For America corps member, after which she earned an M.D. at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She completed her residency and served an additional year as a chief resident with the UCLA Pediatrics Residency Program, she also completed a fellowship in primary care psychiatry. Dr. Tejani is passionate about health equity and social justice and believes in caring for the whole person to promote resilience, healing, and holistic wellness. A Southern California native from Long Beach and a current playa visita resident. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, swimming, surfing, and reading.
