12.5.24 Finals Week

Dec. 5, 2024

Dear LMU Students,
As our fall 2024 semester comes to a close, I'm reaching out to share some important reminders and updates. As you prepare for your final projects and exams, it's natural to feel some stress and anxiety.
Take control of your well-being so you can be successful. Focus on activities that will benefit you now and help you perform at your best, whether studying in a quiet place or engaging in other healthy practices.
Here are upcoming events and some reminders as we head into the holiday break:
  • ASLMU Christmas Tree Lighting: Join us as we kick off the holiday season by lighting the LMU Christmas tree in Regents Terrace on Friday, Dec. 6, from 5-8 p.m.
  • Feel Good Finals is a good way to take some time for yourself and practice self-care. It offers ways to help you relax, study, and fuel up on healthy food and more.
  • Free Hot Cocoa for Finals: Bring your ASLMU Christmas Tree lighting mug or reusable container to Indulge in Founders Pavilion for free hot cocoa on Monday, Dec. 9, and Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 7-10 p.m. The first 100 guests also get a free dessert.
  • Avenues of Awareness: Need to take a break? Visit this social immersive art exhibit in the TPK Art Gallery in Burns Fine Arts Center through Dec. 15.
  • TimelyCare: Mental health support is available 24/7, including over the holiday break.
  • ReviewCommon campus safety tips, with late night safety, theft prevention, and more.
  • Reminder: when in the surrounding neighborhoods, please follow all traffic laws and be considerate of our community by picking up trash and keeping noise levels respectful.

I understand that life’s journey can often be difficult, with highs and lows, triumphs and setbacks. Please be reminded that the university has resources and services available to support and assist you:

Student Affairs and the LMU community is here for you. Remember: You’ve Got This and we’ve got your back!

Sincerely,
