Associate Director, Office for International Students and Scholars
Chimin Lee Metzler has been working in the field of international education for over 25 years. One of her greatest passions is to help navigate international students and scholars on their path to success and reach their objectives. She joined LMU’s Office for International Students and Scholars in 2004 after holding a position of exchange visitor program coordinator in the Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Some of her top priorities include transitioning OISS from paper to paperless office via MyStatus, an immigration compliance system, and serving as an immigration resource to international students, scholars, as well as to staff and faculty at LMU and Loyola Law School. She earned a master's degree in intercultural management at the School for International Training and a bachelor's degree in French and linguistics at UCLA. Outside of her profession, she enjoys traveling and learning about the world, cooking and paddleboarding in the marina.
