Administrative Coordinator
Eliselda “Ely” Gonzalez began her role with OISS in Jan. 2023. As the administrative coordinator for the Intercultural Suite Malone 201 (which houses both OISS and EIS), her job will be primarily assisting at the front desk, supervising student workers and keeping the suite organized and operational. Gonzalez has worked in education for five years and is not a stranger to working at a Jesuit institution, having previously worked in admissions at Verbum Dei High School in L.A. Additionally, she was a DSO at another private institution that primarily served F-1 international students. Her love for learning and passion for helping others has brought her to LMU where she aspires to pass on some wisdom to her student workers so they can excel in areas she may not have been able to at their age. Gonzalez is also supportive of the arts, particularly performing, and loves to sing in choirs as well as in her car. She is obsessed with sweets (especially chocolate and ice cream), her fur baby Pixel (a beautiful little domestic short hair cat).
