International students enrich and enliven our campus with their diversity, collective experiences and varied perspectives. Through the administration of a number of programs and services, International Students & Scholars strives to promote mutual understanding and cross-cultural exchange among international and local students.

  • International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative by the U.S. Departments of State and Education to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange. The Office for International Students and Scholars has celebrated IEW at LMU since 2000 and hosts various events during the third week in November. Our office collaborates with academic and university departments, student organizations, and on-campus groups to in order to celebrate and promote international education at LMU. 

     

  • OISS hosts International Graduation Brunch the day before Commencement Weekend to celebrate our graduating international students. Faculty, staff, family, and friends are welcome to join in celebrating our international graduates and their outstanding accomplishments. 

  • OISS hosts a number of webinars throughout the academic year about topics such as OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, Post-Graduate Visa Options, etc. International students have the opportunity to learn about their work and visa options and have their questions answered by advisors.
