In 2000, Loyola Marymount University dedicated one of its houses on Loyola Boulevard to the International Student Community to be used for housing as well as programs and events. The Global House provides students of different nationalities and diverse cultures the opportunity to live and learn together in a community of mutual respect, understanding and international friendship.

The House consists of seven undergraduate students, international or domestic, with an interest in internationalizing the LMU community.

About the Global House

Every year, the Global House becomes home to 7 students (all gender). The House is conveniently located on 8000 Loyola Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90045. It contains 3 shared bedrooms and one single room. There are 2 bathrooms, 2 living areas, a kitchen, a patio, a backyard and a front yard.

Global House Requirements

  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student at LMU
  • No active judicial record
  • Full participation in Global House programs such as orientation, monthly dinners, house meetings, etc. 
  • Attend 2 cultural events per semester at LMU at the discretion of OISS
  • Ideal candidate will have a strong international awareness and openness to diverse cultures
