Personal Trainers are available to Burns Recreation Center members for a minimal fee. All Personal Trainers are AFAA (Aerobic & Fitness Association of America), ACE (American Council of Exercise), NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) or NCSF (National Council on Strength & Fitness) certified.

Meet the Personal Training Staff

Ayden Brown

Ayden is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor at the Burns Recreation Center. She specializes in functional training, muscle building, and cardiovascular fitness. With 3 years of experience as an F45 coach and a Division I runner, she is passionate about helping clients reach their health and fitness goals.

Amanda Chaves

Amanda is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. Fitness has always been a big part of her life, especially after playing volleyball for over five years. She first got into training because she loved helping her friends reach their goals, and it quickly became something she wanted to share with more people. Amanda has been going to F45 classes since her freshman year, and now, as a senior, she’s excited to wrap up her time at LMU by giving back and making her mark. More than anything, she hopes to inspire others and be a part of their fitness journeys

Anna Dell'Osso

Anna is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor at the Burns Recreation Center. With 12 years of dance experience and over 4 years of lifting, Anna has developed a passion for fitness, health, and overall well-being. Her training specialties include mobility work, proper technique, and dynamic, functional exercises. Anna became a personal trainer to help others feel confident in the gym and in their daily lives. She is excited to support her clients in reaching their goals and building healthy, lasting habits.

Gavin Goble

Gavin is a NASM certified personal trainer at the Burns Rec Center. Lifting and primary bodybuilding has been a huge part of his life. He has competed in OCB natural competitions and has had the opportunity to absorb knowledge from various fitness and bodybuilding pros. Gavin is a firm believer that fitness is foundational to anyone’s success and mental health. Whether you want to get down to the scientific nitty gritty of your split, lift super hard, or have a companion to grab a workout with, he’s your guy. Gavin is excited to work with new clients and help conquer their fitness goals.

Mateo Gonzaga

Mateo is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor at the Burns Recreation Center. His training focus is primarily on building muscle (body building) and strength training. Mateo has been lifting for over 4 years and wants to pass his knowledge and experience on to those who are looking to change their life through fitness. He believes taking control of physical health is empowering and positively impacts all aspects of your life.

Sofia Guerra

Sofia Guerra is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, group fitness instructor, and the personal training Manager at the Burns Recreation Center. With over 4 years of lifting experience, Guerra specializes in strength training, muscle building, and mobility training. She has a varied athletic background in gymnastics, weightlifting, and tennis. She is extremely passionate about fitness and loves helping her clients reach their goals.

Mhairi Hemingson

Mhairi is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor at the Burns Recreation Center. With over 4 years of lifting experience, Mhairi specializes in strength training, muscle building, and mobility work. She comes from a lifelong background in dance and gymnastics which fuels her passion for movement and fitness. Nothing excites her more than helping her clients crush their goals and feel their strongest, most confident selves.

Jolie Parandian

Jolie is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor at the Burns Recreation Center. She specializes in strength training, mobility, and flexibility, with a background in competitive dance for 13 years and a deep passion for fitness. The gym is where Jolie feels her best both mentally and physically and my goal is to help others discover their own love for fitness while supporting them in reaching their personal goals.

Jackson Picard

Jackson is a Personal Trainer at the Burns Recreation Center. With a multi-sport background which was primarily swimming, martial arts, and football. He’s now focused on smart strength training. He specializes in strength, calisthenics, and athletic performance, building simple, effective programs with precise form. Jackson aims to bring out the best in every client and uses training as a lever to improve all aspects of life. If you want confidence in the gym and real, sustainable progress, train with Jackson!

Dean Schmick

Dean is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor at the Burns Recreation Center. Fitness has always been one of the biggest parts of his life. Dean specializes in strength training, functional training, and muscle building. Dean became a personal trainer because he has always enjoyed helping his friends learn proper technique. He looks forward to making a real impact on people’s fitness journeys and building a stronger community at our gym.

Jacob Tabler

Jacob is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor at the Burns Recreation Center. With over 6 years of lifting experience, Jacob specializes in bodybuilding and powerlifting. He loves the gym and the culture here at LMU. Jacob is always open to more dedicated clients and enjoys helping them reach their fitness goals.
