Jordan is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science. Her favorite classes to teach are Networks, Data Structures, and Computing Contexts & Ethics. Before joining LMU in 2019, she taught Global Health Informatics and Consumer Health Informatics at University of San Francisco while working on her PhD in computer science at UC Berkeley. As an undergraduate, she studied computer science and sustainable energy at Creighton University, a smaller Jesuit school in Omaha, NE. She grew up in southern Illinois, not far from St. Louis, where she still goes to visit her mom and admire their luffa plants. She enjoys reading, playing tennis, sharing tea with friends, and experimenting with new kinds of art projects (most recently watercolor and making flipbooks).
This is her first year as a faculty in residence. Please feel free to start a conversation with her about anything at all, and to ignore any unsolicited career advice.
The other resident of Rains is Maze. According to her DNA analysis, she is part mini poodle, mini pinscher, chihuahua, bichon, cat, and spider monkey. Her love languages are playing fetch and stealing socks.
