The Recovery House provides a supportive living environment specifically for LMU undergraduate students who have committed to lifestyle free from alcohol and/or other drugs.
Residents are expected to maintain abstinence at all times and support others in their abstinence and broader recovery journey as well. The Recovery House is a vital resource to students in recovery and facilitates a core tenets of recovery: community, belonging, and accountability.
The Recovery House is located directly adjacent to campus. Residents enjoy direct access to the supports and resources on campus, helping to ensure students in recovery can thrive academically, socially, and personally while maintaining their recovery.
Candidates are required to apply via LMU Student Housing and schedule an interview with Recovery@LMU Director Bradley Smith and Assistant Director Angela O’Malley. If eligible, each candidate must sign and state they understand the Abstinence Agreement, the Recovery House Living Agreement, and the Return to Use/Re-occurrence of Symptoms Protocol.
How to Apply
To access the applications for the different theme housing programs, please log into myLMU. Select "Campus Life" from the top right to access "Student Housing Online Services" option from the drop down menu. Select the Housing portal and include your Theme Housing Preference on the On-Campus Housing Application. Applicants must apply by the housing application deadline for consideration.
