Become a Mane Mover

Mane Movers are volunteers made up of student leaders, staff, and faculty who will assist with directing traffic, unloading vehicles, moving belongings into residence halls, answering questions, and helping students and families navigate the arrival process. The initiative strengthens LMU's commitment to belonging and community by offering a welcome presence, allowing the LMU community to greet new incoming students, and create lasting connections.

Why become a Mane Mover?

By serving as a Mane Mover, you'll:

  • Welcome new students and families to the LMU community.
  • Help create a warm, inclusive, and supportive arrival experience.
  • Build connections with fellow LMU staff, students, and campus partners.
  • Support a smooth move-in process during one of the university's most important traditions.
  • Receive a T-shirt to wear during your shift.
  • Get a $15 Welcome Week voucher following your completed shift.
