Terri Mangione, Ph.D.
Dean of Students
As Dean of Students and Vice President for Student Affairs at LMU, Dr. Terri L. Mangione has responsibility for Student Psychological Services (SPS), Student Health Services, Community of Care, Off Campus Student Services, Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, International Student Services, and LMU Cares.
Dr. Mangione is the former Vice President for Student Affairs and Title IX Coordinator at Canisius College where she also served as an adjunct Professor in the Master's Program in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Terri also served as an accreditation team evaluator for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Dr. Mangione was an Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, serving as Coordinator of the College Student Personnel Program. Terri was Senior Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education at the State University of New York at Buffalo where she had oversight of the offices of Student Accounts, Student Financial Aid and Records and Registration.
Terri began her professional career at Canisius College in the Office of Financial Aid, later served as Director of Academic Advisement and Associate Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences.

Paul Vu, S.J., Ph.D.
Assistant Dean for Student Affairs
Dr. Paul H. Vu earned his B.A. in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. He attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he earned his masters and doctoral degrees in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on acculturation and men's issues. He completed his doctoral internship at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and was ordained as a Jesuit priest in 2011. At LMU, he is also a lecturer for the Department of Psychology and Asian Pacific American Studies.
Student Affairs Resource Coordinator
Lorianne works as the Student Affairs Resource Coordinator in the Dean of Students Office. She also serves as a Resident Minister through the Student Housing Office. In addition to these roles, she is involved on campus as an instructor with the Psychology Early Awareness Program (PEAP), the LMU Chronic Illness Group (CIG) and the Student Worker program.
Student Affairs Case Manager
Jin serves as a Student Affairs Case Manager in the Student Affairs Dean's Office. Jin earned her B.A. in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross, and her M.A. in Guidance and Counseling at Loyola Marymount University. Jin has previously served as a Resident Director for Del Rey South hall at LMU where she supported first year residents in finding their passion and purpose. In addition to her current role, Jin is also involved with the First to Go program.
Ginevra Are Cappiello
Ginevra is originally from Italy, where she originally worked in the non-profit sector and volunteered extensively as a college student mentor and coach. Upon moving to Berkeley in 2014, she discovered her passion for working with an international and culturally diverse community which reinforced her calling to help others. Ginevra is currently studying Community Mental Health Counseling at the School of Education at LMU. She is a Graduate Assistant for the Community of Care Program in the Student Affairs Dean’s Office, a Research Assistant at the Office for International Students and Scholars, and Vice-President of the Graduate Counseling Students Association. Ginevra’s goal in life is to help others, especially college students and the international and immigrant community, by using her counseling skills along with her passion for holistic and spiritual healing practices and art therapy.
