WiFi Network & Internet Access
High-speed internet access is available at Loyola Marymount University through ports in each resident's room as well as through the campus wireless network. LMU students will be prompted to register their computer or gaming system when they first connect to the internet. LMU requires that students have installed approved anti-virus software and all operating system updates. For wireless access, students will use their MyLMU login information each time they connect.

What NOT to Bring
The following items will interfere with the wireless network system:
- Your own wireless router
- 2.4 Ghz wireless Phone
- BlueTooth technology that uses a 2.4 Ghz frequency
What to Bring
- Minimum computer requirements (see ITS website for specifications)
- Ethernet cord if you are not using the wireless network
- Wireless network card (new computers typically come equipped with this option)
- Virus protection
