At the heart of Loyola Marymount University lies the Division of Student Affairs, a compilation of student-centered units that provide a variety of services, programs, and learning opportunities to our students. We are the embodiment of ‘cura personalis’—care for the entire person—reflecting LMU’s deep-rooted Jesuit education principles. Our mission is to foster a holistic student experience that goes beyond academic excellence, but also nurtures the personal and professional growth of every individual student we serve.
What We Do
The Division of Student Affairs at Loyola Marymount University is dedicated to the development of the whole person. We provide a sizable number of opportunities for engagement, leadership, and service, encouraging our students to explore their passions and participate in the vibrant LMU community. With over 200 student organizations and clubs, our division is the core of activity where students can connect, learn, and grow.

The Division of Student Affairs services and programs are designed with a diverse and vibrant community in mind. We proudly serve undergraduates embarking on their academic and personal discovery, graduate students advancing their specialized studies, and faculty who are the cornerstone of our educational excellence but who seek to engage with our students and their passions outside of the classroom. We extend our support to parents, who entrust their children to our care, and remain a steadfast resource for our LMU alumni, whose accomplishments and ongoing commitment and engagement with LMU are the true measures of our success. Together, the division and our units are committed to ensuring student growth, support, and instilling the Jesuit tradition of service.
